# Spreading My Writing Wings
I can’t believe it’s been four years since I started this blog. It began as an experiment to see how I’d feel about writing. But what do you write about?
At the time, I was borderline obsessed with becoming a better software engineer. Beyond my nine-to-five job, I spent many evenings reading about software engineering or working on hobby projects. Naturally, it made sense to write about it.
Over time, as I experienced what it means to write, I realized it wasn’t the software engineering that excited me—it was the writing itself. Writing has become a hobby of mine. The problem was that I often wanted to write but wasn’t in the mood for technical topics. So, what do you do?
I ended up writing semi-technical posts, where I wanted to share interesting insights but had to force them into something that fit a software engineering blog. Though that led to articles I’m particularly happy with123 and let me scratch that creative itch, the topic began to feel like a cage.
That’s why I’ve decided to launch a separate publication, called Exploring Existence, to write about broader topics and perspectives. My main aim is to explore deeper thoughts and insights on everyday existence. I’ll still publish here, but perhaps less often. The upside is I can focus topics here because I respect your readership too much to waste your time.
If you’ve enjoyed what I’ve written so far, I’d be honored to have you join me on this new journey—a journey where I’m just a human exploring existence.
Perfectly imperfect code, where I reflected on whether perfection is attainable—or even worth pursuing—in code.
I don’t know! (and that’s okay), where I explored difficult emotions like uncertainty and shame and ways to cope with them.
Coding for yourself, which is about coding but, underneath, explores maintaining a sense of wonder for what we usually consider mundane.
